Arrive 10-15 minutes early. Always check in at the front desk – use the Entry Pass card for sign in.
Those arriving more than 10 minutes after the class has begun will NOT be permitted to enter.
Leave your shoes in the shoe rack provided. This preserves the sacred nature of the Centre’s space. We recommend taking your valuables inside the Centre and keeping them with you at all times. Please do not bring any food, drink, or valuables into the class. Eye glasses should be placed in a hard case.
Dress appropriately. All participants are expected to follow Centre’s dress code and respect local culture and customs by signing the Code of Conducts. Wear comfortable, natural clothing that allows you to move freely. To respect the spiritual atmosphere of the Center we ask that clothing should be modest; covering up a little more than you would at the gym, for example. Dress in layers as you will become warm during practice, but will want to cover up during final relaxation. Please do not wear jewellery, fragrances, or spray deodorant at the studio. Also, do not wear socks during yoga practice. For your convenience changing rooms are available.
This enhances your experience and is a polite gesture to your fellow students. For any emergency calls, give the Centres land line and we will inform you.
Bring your own yoga mat or a large towel. For hygienic reasons, the Centre does not provide mats, towels or Cushions; however, you can purchase a yoga mat in the Centre boutique. Having your own mat supports your commitment to your practice and ensures its cleanliness.
We recommend that you do not eat for at least 2-3 hours prior to yoga practice. Juice or fruit are OK if you need quick energy before class. Drink plenty of water prior to class, but avoid drinking during class.
Level 1 and 2 are appropriate for beginners. We also recommend to do many workshops designed just for beginners. Let the teacher know you are new to the practice.
This helps the teacher know how to assist you and give you modifications.
4-6 times per week for maximum benefit. 2-3 times per week will show improvement for most students within three months.
By allowing yourself to practice with many workshops.. Spend the time with the teacher and have them cater the practice to fit your needs. Take these tips into a group class so you can flow like the rest of them!
